PalmSource announced today that two more companies have joined its Palm Powered Mobile World program: JP Mobile and MessageVine.

The Palm Powered Mobile World program was created to bring together wireless carriers, infrastructure and middleware partners, and software developers. The intent is to make Palm OS smartphones better through superior software. It now has 32 members.

JP Mobile

SureWave Mobile Defense, also from JP Mobile, is designed to be integrated with SureWave Mobile Office to provide behind-the-firewall server protection, over-the-air encryption, and on-device security.

MessageVine will provide professional instant messaging software for the Palm OS platform.

Its applications, offered to wireless carriers and large companies, connects consumers and business users to both public and enterprise instant messaging systems.
