More Dell-icious News on Their New PDA’s (Pictures)

Dell has confirmed that two Amix X5 PDA’s will be available for order in late November. Now we have more details on pricing – unfortunate news, and a high res picture to hold you over for a bit longer.

So here’s the deal. The 300MHz model will sell for $249 and the 400MHz model will sell for $349. However, both will carry a $50 mail-in rebate for the first few months. Regarding timing, they will be shipping at the end of November or in early December. European and Asian markets will also have access to these PDA’s, but not until 1Q 2003.

The only other real news today is that neither unit will incorporate wireless, pretty much as expected. I posted a few weeks ago that Dell would be releasing a third PDA in early 2003 which will have either WiFi or Bluetooth. This still seems to be the plan.

Here are the updated specs on these two units. Keep in mind, the only differences between the two are processor speed, on board memory and sync cradle vs. cable.
