There’s little room for doubt that the recently announced HTC Incredible S is going to replace the original HTC Droid Incredible in Verizon’s product lineup now that a prototype unit bearing this carrier’s logo has been spotted “in the wild”.
HTC unveiled the Incredible S at the Mobile World Congress tradeshow last month, but Verizon hasn’t yet announced any plans to offer it. Still, the original Droid Incredible was one of Verizon’s most popular Android OS models last year, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that this carrier plans to offer its successor.
In addition, an HTC model labeled “Incred2” reportedly was added to Verizon’s product database a few weeks ago.
In recent months, this company has moved away from using the “Droid” name, so it’s possible that this model will simply be the HTC Incredible 2.
