It appears more information has leaked regarding Nokia’s EOS handset. Images released recently from Sina Weibo appear to confirm the smartphone’s previously-rumored 41-megapixel camera, while also introducing the possibility of a metallic variant.
One of the images revealed shows a camera cover plate with the words “41 MEGA PIXEL” in place of the “XX MEGA PIXEL” seen in previous leaks. The two other images show a metallic chassis for the Nokia EOS that is somewhat suspect. The chassis shown looks noticeably different from previously leaked images, the bump across the device is noticeably smaller, and the holes inside don’t match the ones on the cover plate.
According Sina Weibo and Engadget, the source responsible for the leaks was also responsible for the red EOS factory photos we’ve seen previously. If the source is indeed providing accurate photos, then it’s possible that the metallic chassis is an engineering model. More information should be revealed soon enough since Nokia is expected to release the device next month.
