Verizon Wireless customers who have been waiting to get their hands on the HTC One or Motorola (Moto) X won’t have to wait too much longer. On Thursday, a roadmap detailing the carrier’s release plans was leaked via PhoneArena, revealing that both the Moto X and HTC One are expected to hit Verizon stores by the end of August.
According to the roadmap, the HTC One will be the first to hit shelves and will be available through the carrier starting on August 1. While it’s great that HTC’s flagship is finally hitting Verizon’s networks, the phone won’t be uncontested. HTC’s all-metal handset will go up against the Moto X later in the month, which is set to hit stores on August 23.
The roadmap also details a few other releases, though the Moto X and HTC One remain the most notable devices on the list. A number of Samsung and LG phones will be released within the next two months including the Samsung Convoy 3 and the LG Exalt, which boasts the largest display available on a standard flip phone. Software-wise, NFL Mobile 2013 is also launching the same day as the HTC One, raising the possibility of a tie-in between the two.
