The wraps have just come off the Motorola Defy, an upcoming smartphone that had somehow escaped the usual round of leaks and rumors preceding its announcement.
This model will have a tablet shape, with a 3.7-inch WVGA (800 x 640) display.
Motorola is touting the Defy’s toughness, as it is going to be scratch and water resistant as well as dust proof.
This device is going to run Google’s Android OS and have MotoBlur, Motorola’s alternate version of the standard user interface that focuses on social networking.
It will come with a suite of communication and entertainment applications, but its web browser will include Adobe Flash Lite, not the full version of this multimedia software.
This smartphone will also sport a 5-megapixel camera, but, despite today’s unveiling, many of the other specifications of this model have been announced yet, such as its operating system version, processor speed, and storage capacity.
