Motorola Droid Pro Headed to Verizon this Fall

Verizon Wireless and Motorola have teamed together for several smartphones in the popular Droid series. This cooperation is reportedly going to continue later this year with the Motorola Droid Pro.

Like all all the devices in this series, this will be a high-end model — it will run Android OS on a 1.3 GHz processor, a faster chip than in any current smartphone running Google’s operating system..

In addition, the Droid Pro will supposedly be the first in the Droid series that can used outside of the United States. It will be a worldphone, with support for both Verizon’s CDMA networks and the GSM networks in Europe ans Asia.

This device apparently won’t be as cutting edge as some of its series mates, as it will have a 4-inch display, a bit smaller than the 4.3-inch screen on the Motorola Droid X.

The remaining specifications of this model were not part of this leak.

Coming this Fall
The Motorola Droid Pro will reportedly be released by Verizon in November.

There’s no word yet on what it will cost.
