Motorola Franklin – RAZR-type Windows Mobile PDA Coming

by Reads (17,308)

Motorola has scrapped as many Smartphone designs as they’ve released, but if the Franklin comes through, it could be the biggest, or thinnest, of them all. A PowerPoint presentation is circulating that shows a super-thin Smartphone with integrated keyboard, GSM/EDGE, Bluetooth and a 1.3 megapixel camera.

The presentation comes from Dangaard Telecom, and reveals their roadmap for several data oriented devices. The others listed are interesting, like the HTC Universal, but this is first somewhat official recognition of the Motorola Franklin. It’s dated July 7th, 2005 and certainly isn’t supposed to be floating about, but why look a gift horse in the face?
