Palm Infocenter (http://www.palminfocenter.com) and PalmQ Online (http://www.palmq.net), a Russian website for Palm users, are reporting that Handera is on the verge of releasing a new device within the next month or two.
This PDA would be a new color model from HandEra and will have a 240 by 320 pixel screen, backlit display and capability of handling 64 thousand colors (this is actually fairly standard across all Palm devices now). The device will run Palm OS 4.1 and use 8 MB of RAM, 4 MB of flash ROM and run on a 33 MHz Motorola Dragonball processor.
Handera’s last device, was the Handera 330 (shown below):
The 330 device was very popular in Europe, but not so much the U.S.
The major difference between the upcoming Handera device (no name has been given for it) is that it will have a built in Lithium-ion battery (the 330 did not) and color. All peripherals for the 330 will be compatible with the new device. Rumor says price will be set at $450.
The Handera Company President hinted that a new device is also in the works for Palm OS 5.0, we have yet to hear which device will be first on the market running the new OS.
