Long-time handheld users should be familiar with the Stowaway line of folding keyboards, as they have been some of the most popular mobile accessories for many years. Today, a new one was launched that harks back to the earliest model.

The Stowaway Sierra has a quad-fold design, unlike the bi-fold keyboards Think Outside has put out in the last few years, and it therefore looks a great deal like the original Stowaway.

When closed, this keyboard is just 5.0 in. by 3.5 in. by 0.9 in., but it opens up to be about the size of a laptop keyboard. It has five rows of keys, including a dedicated row of number keys.

The Sierra communicates via Bluetooth, so it can be used with over 600 different  phones and computers. It supports all major operating systems, including Windows Mobile 5 for Pocket PC and Smartphone, Palm OS, Symbian OS, Windows XP, and Mac OS X.

The Stowaway Sierra sells for $130. It will be available from leading retailers, including Amazon.com.
