Spb Software House has just released a new version of the its popular Pocket PC application, Spb Pocket Plus.
This allows Today Screen plug-ins to appear as separate tabs. This means that the latest versions of Spb GPRS Monitor and Spb Finance can be listed on the Today screen.
Like its predecessors, Pocket Plus 2.5 allows applications to actually be closed by tapping the Close button in the upper right corner of the screen, instead of just minimized. This button can also launch a list of running applications.
It also offers extended themes, which include the normal background wallpaper and color changes, but they also include new icons for the Today screen that match the theme.
The File Explorer allows users to quickly compress files, resulting in significant savings if the users carry large documents with them.
A Folder Up button has been added to the File Explorer to assist in rapidly moving up through a folder structure.
A tap-and-hold Properties option allows users to see the full file name, file extension, location path, and file attributes (Read-Only, Hidden, Archive, System, or ROM File). Additionally, users can tap and hold on a folder to get the total size, and quickly format Storage cards.
Pocket Plus allows images in Pocket Internet Explorer to be saved by tapping and holding on any image. Source code for the Web page can be viewed, and HTML pages can be saved for offline use.
This application also includes an always-visible battery level indicator in the top taskbar.
Spb Pocket Plus 2.5 is available now for $19.95 from the Spb Software House web site.
