Nokia E71x Could Debut from AT&T in Early May

AT&T has committed to releasing the Nokia E71x but hasn’t yet said exactly when this is going to happen. According to an unconfirmed report, the big day is just two weeks away.

Rumor indicates that this wireless carrier had originally wanted to introduce this model last month, but technical problems have delayed it. As it is, AT&T will only say it will debut “in the coming weeks.”

According to information that has leaked out of this carrier, the launch day is going to be May 4.

Nokia E71xIt will sell for $100 with contract and mail-in rebate, which is less than had been rumored.

An Overview of the Nokia E71x
This smartphone will be based on Symbian S60 and offer 3G and Wi-Fi, plus a wide variety of third-party applications, including AT&T Navigator.

It will have a focus on messaging, and allow users to keep up with their corporate or personal email when on the go.

At just 10 millimeters thick, the Nokia E71x will still sport a QWERTY keyboard, aGPS, and a black steel finish. It will include a 3.2 MPx camera, and support AT&T’s Video Share service.
