The Nokia E75 was announced in February, and it has just begun shipping. This S60 smartphone has a large keyboard and an emphasis on mobile messaging.
This smartphone is a slider, with a 2.4-inch, 320-by-240-pixel (QVGA) screen and numberpad on the front, and a QWERTY keyboard that slides from the left side.
It runs Symbian S60 Feature Pack 1, and offers a host of Wireless Options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 3G (HSDPA).
Overall, the E75 is 4.4 inches by 2.0 inches by 0.6 inches (112 mm by 50 mm by 14 mm), and weighs 4.9 ounces (139 g).
A Desktop Email Experience on the Go
This E-Series smartphone is the first to ship with Nokia’s new email user interface, and the company is promising that users will no longer need to boot up a PC to get a full desktop messaging experience. The enhanced email UI includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender, and size.
On top of email, the E75 also offers improved calendar capability, as well as contacts and task management.
It is available in two color options: silver/black and red.
Pricing and Availability
The Nokia E75 is debuting in Europe at 375 EUR, before taxes and subsidies.
For N. American customers, Nokia is currently taking pre-orders for this model at $530.
