After identifying connection issues with the Nokia Lumia 900, the company today announced that it will give every customer who has purchased the device $100 credit towards their AT&T bill.
Nokia Lumia 900 customers were reporting that after initially connecting to the AT&T network, it would disconnect without the ability to find the network shortly after. Nokia has stated that a memory management issue led to this loss of data connectivity. The company has also stated that it has developed a solution:
“If you have already purchased a Lumia 900, we are making two options available to you: You will be able to update your device with the latest software via Zune on or around Monday, April 16, or swap your current Lumia 900 for an updated Lumia 900.”
In addition to the updated software or hardware, Nokia is hoping to keep its customers by offering credit that will essentially make the handset free.
“As a gesture of good will, every individual who has already purchased a Nokia Lumia 900 — or who will purchase one between now and April 21st — will receive a $100 credit to their AT&T bill from Nokia.”
