Nokia Lumia 928 Specs Leak Out, Carrier Details Still Murky

Nokia Lumia 928Rumors about the Nokia Lumia 928 are continuing to heat up, with the latest update coming from an Italian blogger who claims to have gotten his hands on a spec sheet for the Windows Phone 8 device.

The Lumia 928, aka the Nokia Catwalk, will have almost identical specs to the AT&T-exclusive Lumia 920, featuring a 1.5 GHz, dual-core processor, a 4.5-inch 1280 x 768 display, and 1 GB of RAM. Other specs include 16 GB of storage, an 8.7-megapixel camera with OIS, and a non-removable 2000 mAh battery. The only differences are that Lumia 928 will be marginally thinner than its predecessor, measuring 8.4 mm thick (down from 10.7 mm), and that it is expected to be made available on other networks.

The blogger, Flavio, mentioned that there was nothing on the spec sheet about the carriers that will be offering the phone, but the latest frontrunner for the US has been T-Mobile. There have also been talks in the past about the phone coming to Verizon, which were further supported when the typically reliable @evleaks account ran a picture of the phone sporting Verizon branding late last week (seen here). It is worth noting that the previously-rumored aluminum build is absent in the photo, but it’s still not out of the question should T-Mobile get its own version of the device.

It still may be a while before we hear anything official about the device, however, if Flavio is correct in his claims. The blogger says that the Lumia 928 is scheduled to be unveiled on May 15, with the release of the phone coming sometime around late June.
