Nokia N800 Internet Tablet OS Update Adds Skype and SDHC Card Support

The Nokia N800 has recently received an major update to its Internet Tablet 2007 operating system, bringing several enhancements to this device.

Featured in this update is the Skype VoIP client, which allows users to make free voice calls over a Wi-Fi connection.

In addition, it brings support for up to 8 GB SDHC memory cards, significantly adding to the storage capacity of the N800.

Also in this update are improvements to the browser, including a speed increase and the Adobe Flash 9 plug-in.

Several bug fixes and performance enhancements were added to improve usability and battery life. A refreshed library of included content such as video and wallpapers are also present.

To download and install the free update to version 4.2 for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, visit its manufacturer’s web site or use the Nokia Internet Tablet Software Updater service and then follow the instructions provided. The update will take about 15 or 20 minutes.
