Nokia Lumia 900As of today, Nokia is rolling out an update for the AT&T version of its flagship Windows Phone model, the Lumia 900, introducing a couple of new features and enhancements.

The most significant feature introduced in the update is the addition of the flip-to-silence function, which allows users to simply turn their phones over to silence the ringer when receiving an incoming call.

The other enhancements come in the form of a “more reliable” boot sequence following a full depletion of the battery, as well as improvements to camera performance when using the “pocket-to-photo” feature. For those not as familiar with Windows Phone, “pocket-to-photo” is when users directly access the camera application when the phone is locked by holding down the phone’s dedicated shutter button.

The update is available starting today, but as is always the case with Windows Phone updates, this will not be available OTA (over-the-air). Users will need to plug their phone into their desktop computer to download and install the update onto their phone using the Zune software.
