Official Release Date of Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE From Sprint is August 19

Motorola Photon Q 4G LTEAfter a rumored release date and teases that the phone would be “coming soon,” the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, an Android smartphone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard from Sprint, finally has a confirmed launch date: August 19.

Sprint is now accepting preorders for the phone through its website at Inventory providing, those who preorder the phone will receive their device as early as two days before the official release date.

The Photon Q will go for $200 with a new line of service or an eligible upgrade and two-year service agreement.

The Motorola Handset will come loaded with Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a microSD memory card slot.

Sporting a 4.3-inch ColorBoost display, the Photon Q will also have an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, an HD front-facing camera, a micro HDMI port, and NFC support. Naturally, i will be able to connect to Sprint’s nascent 4G LTE network.

It is going to be one of just a handful of models from Sprint with a physical keyboard. In this case, it will be a slider that can be hidden behind the touchscreen.
