Opera Software has just released a version of its Web browser for Windows Mobile Pocket PCs. This application has been in beta since early this year, but it wasn’t until today that the full version was introduced.

It allows users to open multiple Web pages at the same time, and switch between them using a tabbed interface. Opera Mobile can also adapt Web pages to fit the width of the screen in either landscape or portrait modes and block pop-up ads.

This browser runs on both Windows Mobile 5.0 and 2003 SE.

Opera Mobile 8.6 for Windows Mobile Pocket PC is available now from its developer’s web site. It costs $24 but comes with a free 30-day trial.

Opera Mobile 8.6 for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphones will be available shortly.
