The popular web browser Opera is reportedly coming to Palm-branded devices.
Palm has signed an agreement with Opera Software to use its versatile browser in upcoming Palm devices, according to Opera Watch. The report does not specify if this means Windows Mobile, Garnet OS, or both devices, only that it will be used in future products.
Currently, there are two ways to use the Opera browser on Palm-branded devices:
- On Garnet (Palm) OS devices, people can use the Opera Mini version, which requires the downloading and installing of the Java VM software from Palm; or
- On Windows Mobile Palm-branded devices, people can use either Opera Mini via Java or download the Opera Mobile Pocket PC version (shareware).
