by Reads (4,240)

SplashData has just begun offering a software tool aimed at helping people outline and organize everything from work projects, meeting agendas, and speeches to class notes and event plans.

SplashNotes is a note taker, list manager, outliner, and information organizer for Palm OS handhelds and smartphones. It comes with companion Windows software that lets users enter their notes on a desktop computer and then synchronize them with a Palm handheld to take with them wherever they go.

Key features of this application include:

  • A drag-and-drop user interface
  • Automatic line-numbering, alphabetizing, and bullet points
  • Sharing of outlines by email, infrared beaming, or Wi-Fi
  • Attaching sketches and pictures
  • The ability to save commonly used outlines as templates, making it easy to begin a new note without starting from scratch
  • Nearly unlimited "Undo" capabilities, making it easier to eliminate bad ideas and simple mistakes from an outline
  • Support for importing and exporting to Microsoft Word

Pricing and Availability

SplashNotes is available now from the SplashData web site for $29.95.  This price includes both the Palm OS application and the Windows desktop companion software.
