Palm has put out new versions of the Outlook Conduits that are included with recently-released Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E handhelds.
According to Palm, this update fixes undisclosed problems with the current Outlook synchronization conduits . It also adds support for synchronizing with Microsoft Outlook 2003.
The new Outlook Conduits can be downloaded from Palm’s support site.
This update will only install on computers on which the Palm Outlook Conduits are already installed. It can’t be used to add Outlook synchronization to an older handheld.
More about the Tungsten Line’s Outlook Support
Palm has accepted that its handhelds are, for a great many people, extensions of Microsoft Outlook. Therefore it has renamed the built-in apps to Calendar, Contacts, Memos, and Tasks and these now can synchronize with their Outlook equivalents. Previous handhelds came with PocketMirror, a third-party application that handled this, but the T3 and the Tungsten E use conduits created by Palm itself.
