Palm Releases Updated Web Browser for Tungsten T3

Palm has released an update for the web browser that comes with its new Tungsten T3. The new version, Web Pro 3.0.1, includes several feature enhancements:

• Speed of web downloads in proxy and proxyless modes
• Faster display rendering when switching between landscape and portrait modes
• Downloading files through the browser in proxy mode
• Handling of websites that use frames

The update can be downloaded from Palm’s web site.

This version of Web Pro is intended only for the Tungsten T3 and won’t work with any other Palm handheld or Palm OS device.

Unfortunately, Web Pro is a widely pirated application. Those who use handhelds besides the T3 should be aware that this application isn’t freeware, and is available for sale from the Palm Software Connection for PC or Mac.
