Vaja cases for iPaq 2200 and 5500 series

It seems like hardly a day goes by without some new case from at least one manufacturer. Today’s entrant is Vaja, who has rebranded their iPaq 5400 cases for compatibility with the 5500 series, and released a new 921 case for the iPaq 2210/2215.

iPaqs to be used on moon mission

TransOrbital, a U.S. firm planning a commercial mission to the moon in 2004, has announced intentions to use HP iPaq 5550 PocketPCs on board the spacecraft to “facilitate wireless communication within the satellite” and “synchronize and share data while in space”, according to the press release.

What the press release doesn’t mention is that this is a robot mission, with no human crew. So what happens if the reset button needs to be pushed? I, personally, would not entrust an expensive spacecraft to a brand-new piece of consumer electronics.
