Three new PocketPCs from Acer
The first new model, the N50, comes with a 312 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM, 64 MB ROM, QVGA screen, dual slots, and Bluetooth. The second, the N50 Premium, has a 520 MHz processor and 128 MB RAM in addition to the features of the N50 basic.
The third model, the N35, features a built in Global Positioning System receiver along with a 266 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM, and no wireless. While it’s nice to see GPS, the rest of the N35’s specs are definitely sub-par.
Benq P50 preorders for $450
Expansys USA is now accepting pre-orders for the BenQ P50 PocketPC phone. The P50 is similar in size to the Treo line of Palm phones, and features quad-band GSM/GPRS (Class 10), Bluetooth, WiFi, a thumb keyboard, and a 1.3 megapixel camera. The most remarkable part is that Expansys lists the P50 at a price of US$450, which is literally half the price of the equivalently featured HTC Blue Angel, and is also considerably below the price of a carrier-locked Treo 650.
