Toshiba recalls high-capacity batteries

High capacity Lithium-Ion batteries for Toshiba PDAs may become disconnected from the device under normal operating conditions, resulting in possible unexpected shutdowns, data loss, and hard-resets, according to a recall order issued by Toshiba. The recall affects high-capacity Li-Ion batteries for the Toshiba e740, models PA3197C-1BAL and PA3197U-1BRL, whose serial numbers do not end in “A”. Check the back of your high-capacity battery’s label. If it does not end in “A”, then you are eligible to have it replaced by Toshiba.
