Toshiba recalls high-capacity batteries
High capacity Lithium-Ion batteries for Toshiba PDAs may become disconnected from the device under normal operating conditions, resulting in possible unexpected shutdowns, data loss, and hard-resets, according to a recall order issued by Toshiba. The recall affects high-capacity Li-Ion batteries for the Toshiba e740, models PA3197C-1BAL and PA3197U-1BRL, whose serial numbers do not end in “A”. Check the back of your high-capacity battery’s label. If it does not end in “A”, then you are eligible to have it replaced by Toshiba.

Handspring reports net loss
On Tuesday Handspring announced it’s earnings report for the most recent quarter. While the company lost less money than in previous quarters, sales and revenue both plunged sharply.
