Fix available for iPaq 2200 grips
Relief for all those iPaq 2200 users suffering from detatched rubber grips. HP is offering a do-it-yourself repair kit, including new grips, to those willing to brave their phone-system labyrinth. Call support, and ask for part number 349036-001. The catch is that the parts are on backorder, but HP will supposedly overnight them as soon as they are in stock. Some users are also reporting success with HP online support, but no guarantees.
Bargain Clie T-series metal cases
Aluminum case retailer Proporta has had a little accident in shipping: net result, a few Clie 665/675 cases destroyed. A number more came out fine in and of themselves, but their packaging was damaged, so Proporta has put them up in their site’s Bargains catagory. The cases normally retail for $38, but the discounted ones are selling for $11. A good deal for all those stubborn T-series users out there.
