Not many of these mini-laptops have made it, but this one looks really cool!
Vulcan (owned by Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen) has released plans on an amazing micro laptop. Shrinking to the size of a PDA but carrying the full functionality of a desktop computer, this x86 processor-taking mini workhorse will gobble up Windows CE and Palm with its 800×480 resolution, 256MB of RAM, 20 gigabytes of built in storage, and integrated 802.11b. This device will use Windows XP as it’s OS and has the possibility of the following expansions: 2.5G Wireless Data: GPRS or 1xRTT (CDMA), Bluetooth, or 1394 (Firewire).Sounds like something to merge PDAs and laptops to me, but nifty nonetheless.
Thanks to netaxim for the news tip!
