Dell Axim X50v GAPI Tweak, by emulamer

Want a VGA screen, but can’t give up the great QVGA performance of your favorite PocketPC games and emulators? Gamers rejoyce. Created by Picard of BetaPlayer fame, and perfected by emulamer, this tweak for the Dell Axim X50v increases performance for older games which rely on the Graphics API, or GAPI, for display performance. With the GAPI tweak in place, the X50v scores a 3870 on the Spb Benchmark Graphic Index. The next closest VGA PocketPC is the Asus A730, which scores only 1015. This is a sizable step up from the last version we reported on, which only brought the X50v up to the 900 range.

BetaPlayer 0.095, by Picard

I’d swear this man never sleeps. For what I believe is the third time in four weeks, we have an update to the essential BetaPlayer video and audio player. Version 0.095 adds support for AAC and MP4 formats, preliminary streaming over HTTP, and some bug fixes.
