A revolutionary PDA case will let almost any Palm go wireless

This is a great thought. A nice leather case with built-in WiFi and a seperate rechargeable battery.

Enfora is bringing this product to market in June at an MSRP of $169. The WiFi case will support any Palm PDA with OS 4.1 or later and the Palm universal connector. This covers just about all of the current models. Not only will it be easy to add Wifi to your Palm, it runs on its own battery which Enfora says will last up to 24 hours on one charge.

Below is the preliminary spec sheet with all the technical details. We also have a test unit in the mail and will report back to your shortly!

Verizon has the 7135 in stock

The 7135 is not yet on Verizon’s web site, but we have a report in from Southern California with more details.

Was at Verizon Wireless in SoCal today. Played with a Kyocera 7135. They have all the displays in, and it is supposed to be released on April 17th. You can currently call Verizon Wireless Customer Service and order one. $499 two year commitment, $549 or $529? for one year commitment. I did not call myself but someone was ordering one on the phone while I was there. I plan to purchase one in a few weeks. Very sleek and just small enough for me to actually replace my v.60. A lot better looking in person than in pictures and feels very well built, itsn;t to hevay and not flimsy at all.

Thanks to prodempix for the tip!

Sony has released two new drivers for their Clie PDAs

Sony has released a few driver and file updates worth noting:

1) Clie Files v1.1

This program updates the CLI Files software and resolves the following issues:
  • Files are deleted if you exit the CLI Files software while a confirmation dialogue box is up.
  • A fatal alert occurs if you select a folder that contains another folder with more than 80 folders.

This update also adds the following functionality:

  • Enables the extraction of .zip files
  • Sets a default directory for .zip files
  • Displays a “Last Updated” date for files on Memory Stick media

2) Wireless card driver update

This program will update the system software to provide the following enhancements:

  • Displays the MAC address in the “Wireless LAN Detailed Settings” window.
  • Adds compatibility for more Wireless Access Points.

3) Memory Stick Pro driver for the NZ90

This has only been released in Japan, but here’s the link if you can’t wait.

This is the first leather case I’ve seen for the TG50 and boy is it funky

Xigma has been first to market with a number of PDA cases, most recently the SJ33. Now they have the most oddly designed case I’ve seen in some time for the TG50.

It’s not cheap at $69, but that does include shipping costs.
