After a tablet versio was released last year, the powerful imaging software Adobe Photoshop is now available to phone users. Adobe has just announced the release of a version for Apple iPhone as well as handsets running Android.
Similar to the Adobe Photoshop Touch app for tablets, the phone app brings core features of imaging software to mobile devices with touch-based gestures.
The new mobile app offers familiar Photoshop features such as layers, selection tools, filters, tonal and color adjustments. The app also allows users to apply graphical texts and effects, combine images together using the scribble selection feature, and refine selections with the Refine Edge tool.
The app can edit images as large as 12-megapixels with layers, and automatically syncs images to Adobe Creative Cloud with 2GB of free storage.
Pricing and Availability
The Adobe Photoshop Touch app for phone is available starting today for $5 on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
For iOS devices, the app requires iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, and iPod Touch 5th generation; Android phones must run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later.
