A version of Info-Cop is now available for Microsoft’s Windows Mobile for Smartphones OS. Info-Cop is an on-the-street tool that provides immediate access to vital criminal background information.

Law enforcement agencies in New Jersey and Washington, along with national security agencies, have been running Info-Cop on the Samsung i700 cellular-wireless Pocket PC since June of 2003. Officers on foot, horseback, or bike patrol are especially benefiting from the ability of these handhelds to offer real-time access to federal, state, and local crime databases using the Info-Cop software over a cellular-wireless network.

Currently, the smartphone version of this software running on the Samsung i600 is being tested by several police departments .

“With Info-Cop for smartphones, we are providing a whole new level of flexibility and safety for law enforcement and emergency response professionals,” said Diana Richardson, director of integrated solutions for Info-Cop.

Info-Cop for smart phones is the first public safety solution for Windows Mobile for Smartphones.

More information about this software is available on the Info-Cop web site.
