Bachmann Software has ported its popular printing application, PrintBoy, to Series 60 smartphones.
PrintBoy allows users to print documents, spreadsheets, and presentations using an infrared or Bluetooth wireless connection. The application was first presented to the press at CTIA Wireless in March and is now available to the public.
“Smartphones are increasingly being used for traditional office computing functionality such as e-mail, messaging and documents,” said Glenn Bachmann, president and founder of Bachmann Software. “Just as they would on their laptop computers, mobile business users who receive important attachments over e-mail on their smartphone expect to be able to open, view and print those attachments. With PrintBoy for Series 60, we’ve delivered on that expectation by giving smartphone customers the ability to produce hardcopies of their important documents anytime, anywhere.”
“Bachmann has a strong track record in developing innovative utilities and applications for the mobile professional workforce,” said Chris Lovejoy, Forum Nokia business development manager-Americas. “We’re very excited to have their talents and business skills as part of the rapidly growing Series 60 developer community.”
PrintBoy for Series 60 Smartphones is $19.99 and is available for purchase from the Bachmann Software web site.
Versions of PrintBoy are also available for Palm OS and Windows Mobile.
