Preview – HP iPAQ h2200 Confirmed by FCC

HP will release two models of the iPAQ h2200, one with Bluetooth and one without. We also have a bunch of pictures from the FCC filing and nearly full specifications. Looks like HP’s done it again!

Secifications from the manual –

*200 or 400MHz Intel processor
*Secure Digital slot I/O
*Manual claims CD storage. This is likely a misprint and should read CF.
*64 MB RAM

*Transflective color TFT display
*240 x 320 pixel resolution
*.24 dot pitch
*Speaker, standard size stereo jack
*IR port with universal remote software on select units
*Integrated Bluetooth on select units
*Removable 900mAh battery

The manual makes it clear there will be at least two flavors of the h2200, which is likely a good thing. My guess is that with the h2200 release, the h1910 may be discontinued. The h2200 relies on the same small battery as the h1910, but at least it’s replaceable. The connector at the base of the device also appears to be the same as the h1910.

There is of course no time slated for release or price, but expect $300ish for the base model and up to $400 for the Bluetooth integration.
