Mobility Electronics has announced iGo Quickoffice Premier for Series 60 smart phones and shown a demonstration at the 3GSM World Congress this week.
This software suite will include Quickword S60, Quicksheet S60, and Quickpoint S60, which will allow users to view and edit Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Powerpoint files, all in their native formats. Files received as email or multimedia message attachments are supported, as well as files on expansion memory cards.
Application features will include the ability to use fonts, formatting, and justification with word processing files, more than 70 supported functions in spreadsheets, and the ability to edit and save native Powerpoint files, as well as give presentations directly from the smart phone. All Series 60 smart phones will be supported.
Some of these are already available as stand-alone applications. Quickword S60 is $14.95, while Quickpoint S60 is $19.95. In addition, the company makes a version of Quickoffice Premier for the Palm OS.
