More About the Samsung Galaxy S III
This smartphone, which debuted today outside of the U.S., features a 4.8-inch, 1280 x 720 (720p), Super AMOLED touchscreen, and runs Google Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Some of the specifications of the Galaxy S III will depend on where it’s being purchased and it’s not clear yet what specs T-Mobile’s version will have. As this carrier does not yet support LTE, this Samsung device might have a quad-core processor, and there’s a possible range of internal storage capacities: 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB.
Rounding out the list of features will be a 2100mAh swappable battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9MP camera on its front.
This definitely won’t be a T-Mobile exclusive — AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint are all expected to offer versions of these smartphones.
We have a hands-on preview of the Samsung Galaxy S III with our first impressions.
