There will come a point at which nearly every PDA owner wishes they had a keyboard to input text and data into their PDA just a little faster.  Or at least nearly as fast as your words per minute typing speed would be nice!  Compaq provides a nice keyboard option with its pocket-sized Foldable Keyboard for the 3800 series of its iPaq devices.  The Foldable Keyboard allows users to enjoy the power of a nearly full-sized keyboard along with Storage and mobility.

Compaq iPaq 3800 Series Foldable Keyboard

Back in good old 1996 I was taken aback by the Palm based graffiti system and how cool and fast it was to be able to take notes simply by using a stylus in a graffiti area.  Then I saw how Microsoft did it with handwriting recognition on the screen of your PDA.  Even cooler!  But then the sad reality hit, both methods are only good for taking short notes.  In general, we do just use PDAs to take notes, write appointments, or enter contacts.  However, what happens if you re in class taking notes on your PDA for the upcoming final?  Better hope the professor is a slow talker, unless of course, you have a keyboard attached to your PDA and the power of your words per minute typing speed.  The folks at Compaq have engineered the Compaq Foldable Keyboard to provide the iPaq 3800 series with this capability.  If you want to use your iPaq to take notes in a meeting or class, or compose a long email response, or maybe write a memo then you will need a portable keyboard.  My goal is to help you decide if the Compaq Foldable Keyboard fits the bill for this.
