by Reads (8,762)

Proporta, known for their innovative hardware, software and cases, brings us a real let me see that thing case for the Tungsten C. Like their other hard cases, this one will definitely turn heads. It is made of the finest quality 100% anodized aircraft aluminum and completely lined with a soft protective neoprene cushioning. You feel like your Tungsten C is very well protected and has the compliment of an advanced high tech, professional look.

The case is well crafted, sleek, and lightweight.

The fit is slim-line; no bulkiness on this case and its snug fit has cutouts for access to every hardware too on the Tungsten C device. The size is 124 x 88 x 24.4 mm; its weight is approximately 65g. This is definitely a finely crafted case, the neoprene lining not only protects your Tungsten C from drops and shocks it protects it from getting scratched while in the case. Need to carry a couple of extra SD media cards? Well there are two snug housing locations in built in.

The Tungsten C looks great in this case. The two together look like they come as one unit from the factory. I do have one problem though. The cover hampers the thumb board use. I would have had this review done long before now but this one point has perplexed me for days. I have gone through some serious experimentation and flexibility exercises. I have reached the point where I can use the thumb board without feeling to uncomfortable but the cover door is always somewhat in the way on the right-hand side.

OK, bottom line. On one side of the issue is the ability to freely utilize the Tungsten C s thumb board and the other side of the issue is the Tungsten C s price and your desire to protect it.

What do you do?
Well, that is up to you. But you at least have to take a look at this case it is gorgeous. I’ve managed to get used to the door and appreciate the way the case protects my investment.

Pros:
Advanced high tech, professional look, while sporting the 100% anodized aircraft aluminum and the soft protective cushioning of neoprene, which provides great protection for an expensive device.

Cons:
Cover hampers free use of the thumb board
