Review: The Straight Story Behind a Bendable Stylus

by Reads (6,218)

Prime Global Enterprises has a unique approach when it comes to interacting with your PDA. Gone is the traditional rigid stylus. Enter the flexible, wrap-able and affordable ComfortStylus.

When the ComfortStylus showed up at my house, it was packed in a small bubble envelope. Not really expecting a delivery I had no idea what was in the package. I eagerly opened it up to find a broken stylus! Uh what? Why did someone send me a stylus that was all bent up?

Upon further investigation I realized that the stylus was not broken at all, but bent a little bit. Along with my new little toy was a business card from Denise Bagley, the president of Flipping the card over revealed the real mystery behind this package.

The whole idea behind the ComfortStylus is that it conforms to your finger to deliver a perfectly ergonomic experience. Inside the rubber stylus body lives a wire that can be wrapped around your finger to provide a nice snug fit. The wire is strong enough to maintain its shape so seasoned users will just need a single finger to peck away at their PDA instead of an entire hand.

The stylus will also stay attached as you move papers or answer a phone call, all without having to set it down. I used mine for a few hours and quickly became used to the feel as I experimented with a number of shapes to find the best fit.

The stylus does fit inside some PDA models, but once it gets used for a while, this is probably not the best transportation option. Alternatively, slide it into your PDA case or inside a pocket, it s very light and sturdy.

The ComfortStylus goes for $5.99 for one, including shipping in the US . Purchase multiples to get a discount.

Overall I think this is a great innovation and worth checking out if you re in a position where you go back and forth to the PDA frequently. Also, if you simply want to try something new, this is a low risk investment that might pay off for you. I m happy with the stylus and continue to use it today. Check it out here to pick one up.
