According to information received by Brighthand, HP will announce two New iPAQ Pocket PCs — the h4155 and the h4355 — on Monday, October 13. However, the h4155 will not be available for shipment to customers until October 31, while the h4355 will not make its way into customers’ hands until mid-November.
Internally, the two models will be quite similar, both offering integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Wireless Network capability. However, their outer appearances will be quite different. The h4355 will have a built-in small keyboard and weigh 6.5 ounces, while the h4155 will not have a keyboard and weigh only 4.4 ounces. The h4155 is actually close in size to HP’s popular h1900 series.
Both models will run Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PCs on a 400 MHz Intel XScale processor, and will have 64MB of RAM. They will include an SD slot, 3.5″ color screen, and a removable battery. The battery in the h4135 will be 1000 mAh, while the battery in the h4355 will be 1560 mAh.
The h4155 and h4355 are expected to list at $450 and $500, respectively.
