This morning Samsung unveiled the Focus 2, an affordable Windows Phone this is coming to AT&T’s 4G LTE network later this month.
Sporting a roomy 4-inch Super AMOLED display, the Focus 2 will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and will run the most recent version of Microsoft’s mobile OS, Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango). It will come equipped with a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p video, as well as a front-facing VGA camera for video chat.
Other features are going to include a slim, light build – measuring 10.98 mm thick and weighing 4.3 ounces – and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities supporting up to five other devices.
The Samsung Focus 2 will be available starting May 20 and come in a “glossy pure white” color. The phone will be priced at $50 with a two-year contract with AT&T.
It will join a number of other Windows Phones already in this carrier’s portfolio, including the Nokia Lumia 900 and the HTC Titan II.
