Samsung Galaxy S 4 LTE-ASamsung sure isn’t short on Galaxy S IV variants, but that didn’t stop the Korean manufacturer from announcing another one earlier today.

Samsung co-CEO JK Shin told Reuters that the next Galaxy S IV iteration that’s on the way to the lineup is an LTE-Advanced model. The new model will join the rest of Samsung’s expansive Galaxy S IV line, including the Galaxy S IV mini, Galaxy S IV Active, Galaxy S IV Zoom and Galaxy S IV Google Edition.

The new handset will offer compatibility with LTE-Advanced networks, boasting data delivery speeds at least twice as fast as current LTE networks. This new model of the Samsung Galaxy S IV will be the first handset in the world to offer LTE-A compatibility, though the United States currently does not host any live LTE-A networks.
