The Sprint-exclusive Samsung ATIV S Neo now has an official release date, and interested customers can get their hands on it in just a couple of days.
Scheduled for an August 16 release, the ATIV S Neo will be one of two Sprint-exclusive Windows Phone 8 devices, the other being the HTC 8XT, which is already available. The specs are high-end for Windows Phone devices, including a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, a 4.8-inch 1280 x720 display, and 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB on onboard storage (expandable via microSD up to 64 GB), an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, and a removable 2,000 mAh battery.
Some software aspects will be Sprint exclusive, like the ATIV beam for NFC (though this is simply a matter of branding; other Windows Phone 8 devices have NFC capabilities) or the Beauty Shot and Manga Camera photo modes. The ATIV S Neo will be sold at a price point of $149.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate reward card.
