Samsung Windows Phone 8 DocumentThe Windows Phone 8 device reveals continue to pop up as we get closer to the official unveiling of Microsoft’s next mobile OS this fall, with the most recent being two smartphones from Samsung: the Odyssey and the Marco.

As part of the Apple vs. Samsung trial, the latter submitted court documents revealing that the two WP8 handsets are in the pipeline. Both devices will feature the same Qualcomm MSM8960 dual-core 1.5 GHz chipset.

The Odyssey seems poised to be Samsung’s top-tier WP8 phone, with a roomy, 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and NFC support for Microsoft’s tap-to-send and tap-to-pay (Wallet Hub) systems. The Marco, meanwhile, will have a slightly more modest 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera.

The processor of choice for both the Odyssey and the Marco suggests that they will both be 4G phones, as the Qualcomm MSM8960 is the chip that Samsung has been using for its LTE regions. Both handsets are slated for a Q4 release, which is right around when the Windows Phone 8 is expected to be revealed.
