With the Samsung Galaxy Note recently landing at T-Mobile, the online phone retailer Wirefly is now offering this smartphone-tablet hybrid for $30 below the regular price. In addition, this device is available on the “hidden” WireflyFriends website for just for $70.

Samsung Galaxy NoteWirefly is offering this model at $230, a deal which is good for both new and qualifying upgrade customers. Even better, WireflyFriends has it at $180 — the best discount on Sammy’s tabletphone from T-Mobile, assuming there aren’t hiden restrictions on this offer. Either is better than T-Mobile’s price, as the carrier sells it for $250 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement.

T-Mobile is the second U.S. carrier to offer the Galaxy Note, which had its U.S. debut last winter from AT&T.

More about this Tabletphone

Sporting a 5.3-inch display set into a 5.8 x 3.3 x 0.4 inch casing that weighs in at 6.3 ounces, the original Note initially drew criticism for being too large, yet Samsung has sold millions of the super-size handset around the world since.

While the AT&T iteration of the Galaxy Note debuted with Android 2.3, T-Mobile’s version runs Android 4.0. Packing a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM, the device features a stylus, dubbed the S Pen. The unique accessory equips users to take full advantage of the drawing and note-taking software Sammy bundled in the device.

There is 16GB of built-in memory, and a microSD memory card can add up to a total of 48GB of storage. The device is able to access T-Mobile’s 42Mbps 4G HSPA+ network and also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.

While Wirefly offers those interested in the Galaxy Note a good deal, buyers beware that its successor is scheduled to be unveiled in just a few weeks.
