An official from Samsung’s mobile communications division has reportedly confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Note III to Korean site ETNews. The site quotes the official speaking about the upcoming device’s camera, marking the first confirmation of the handset’s existence.
The Galaxy Note III is set to have a 13 megapixel camera, which could also feature Optical Image Stabilization, shutter functions and a 3x optical zoom, according to the report. However, the official notes that there have been no final decisions made regarding the camera functions of the Galaxy Note III.
Rumors of the Galaxy Note III have been swirling for some time, and it appears Samsung could be close to officially announcing the device. Perhaps the announcement could come as early as IFA, which is less than fourth months away, and is where both the Galaxy Note and Note II were announced.
