It’s a big day for T-Mobile. Among a spate of other announcements, the carrier revealed its release date and price for the Samsung Galaxy S IV.
That made T-Mobile the first to announce its plans: it is gong to launch the Galaxy S IV on May 1.
The price will likely surprise and please many: $100 plus two years of monthly $20 payments. This is part of T-Mobile’s new system in which the cost of device subsidies have been split from the cost of wireless service.
Samsung Galaxy S IV Preview
This smartphone is going to have have a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel (Full HD) resolution, giving it a 441 pixel density.
The Galaxy S IV is going to run Google Android 4.2.1 with 2GB of RAM. Buyers will have a choice of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB of internal storage.
Samsung’s latest will support 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a,/b/g, and Bluetooth 4.0. It is going to have a 13 megapixel main camera. There will also be a 2 MP front-facing one.
