The Samsung Galaxy S4 is starting to reach consumer’s hands and has been a hugely popular device for the company, so why not capitalize by manufacturing variants to addresses consumers’ needs and wants?
Apparently, that’s exactly what Samsung is doing, and with one of the S4 variants, the Galaxy S4 Mega, having recently been all but confirmed. The device, which is expected to be more of a phablet similar in size to the Galaxy Note II, was essentially confirmed by Samsung in the language of a recent update to the Samsung WatchON app. The update notes, which were originally discovered by SamMobile, say the app will have “added support for upcoming S4 Mega, S4 mini and S4 Active.”
This isn’t the only S4 variant that’s been getting attention lately, as Google officially announced the Galaxy S4 Google Edition with stock Android Jelly Bean at Google I/O last week, and yesterday, images of the rumored Galaxy S4 Active emerged (with a video follow up leaking earlier today). Other variants include the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Galaxy S4 Zoom, the latter of which is expected to have a more powerful, 16 megapixel camera.
