Save Money on T-Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S III

T-Mobile customers yearning for the Samsung Galaxy S III, but who are not willing to pay the carrier’s inflated price, now have another option, as the authorized online retailer Wirefly has begun selling the device for less.

Samsung Galaxy S IIIThe Internet phone vendor is now offering the 16GB version of T-Mobile’s latest smartphone, giving a $200 price tag, which is $80 less than what the carrier is asking for it.

Other networks, such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular, have also priced the handset at $200 with a two-year contract. T-Mobile continues to ask substantially more for its iteration.

Although Wirefly currently does not offer the 32GB model, customers have the choice of a blue or white 16GB Samsung Galaxy S III with contract.

Running on T-Mobile’s 4G (HSPA+ 42) network, the third-generation Galaxy S sports a 4.8-inch, Super AMOLED, 1280 x 720 display, and it packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. Equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing shooter, the smartphone is powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and it features Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface.

While prior models in this Samsung series were unique to each respective carrier, the Galaxy S III is the first of its family to be universally manufactured, meaning the Verizon version is almost identical to T-Mobile’s offering, and the same is true of AT&T’s, Sprint’s, etc.
