T-Mobile customers yearning for the Samsung Galaxy S III, but who are not willing to pay the carrier’s inflated price, now have another option, as the authorized online retailer Wirefly has begun selling the device for less.
Although Wirefly currently does not offer the 32GB model, customers have the choice of a blue or white 16GB Samsung Galaxy S III with contract.
More About Samsung’s Most Powerful Smartphone
Running on T-Mobile’s 4G (HSPA+ 42) network, the third-generation Galaxy S sports a 4.8-inch, Super AMOLED, 1280 x 720 display, and it packs a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. Equipped with an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing shooter, the smartphone is powered by Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and it features Samsung’s own TouchWiz user interface.
While prior models in this Samsung series were unique to each respective carrier, the Galaxy S III is the first of its family to be universally manufactured, meaning the Verizon version is almost identical to T-Mobile’s offering, and the same is true of AT&T’s, Sprint’s, etc.
During Brighthand’s hands-on review with the device, its camera proved impressive, especially the burst shot feature, as did its performance. Potential buyers, be sure to read the full review before purchasing Sammy’s latest smartphone.
