Today SOFTAVA released PicturePassword, a new software product aimed at providing PDA users with an easy-to-use and convenient security solution. Rather than entering passwords, with PicturePassword users simply tap on a secret spot on a picture and they’re in. However, after one wrong attempt a complex text password must be entered.

The full-featured version of PicturePassword provides custom full-screen, high resolution pictures and stronger security. It also allows a sequence of hardware buttons to be used to unlock your device rather than a sequence of on-screen tap points. It includes a large clock and battery level indicator above the lock screen.

SOFTAVA also offers an online picture converter service, so users can convert their own pictures to use with PicturePassword.

PicturePassword retails for $14.95. SOFTAVA also offers a freeware limited edition called LogoLogin.

More information on these applications is available at the SOFTAVA web site.
